Abstract

Japan danas ima jednu od najrazvijenijih ekonomija na svijetu te ostvaruje veliki uspjeh u tom
aspektu, no ono što je Japan proslavilo u prošlosti je bila njegova vojska te njihova načela. Taj
vojni aspekt Japana je zapravo postavio temelje za razvoj japanskog društva, kao i njihove
hegemonije. Bitna stvar koja prati Japan su zbivanja u 2. svjetskome ratu koja su tu državu
obilježila, ne samo zbog njihove sulude hrabrosti, nego i zbog poraza na najteži mogući način,
bombardiranja atomskim bombama od strane SAD-a. Ono što se u ovome radu želi prikazati je
kako se Japan razvio kao država, od striktno vojne sile, do jedne ozbiljne ekonomske sile svijeta.
No ono što je bitnije je kako su civilno-vojni odnosi utjecali na djela japanske države kako u
Drugome svjetskome ratu, tako i nakon njega. Najbitniju stavku ovoga rada predstavlja pitanje
vraća li se Japan novim reformama na stari put militarizma i kakvu ulogu u tome ima donedavni
japanski premijer, Shinzo Abe.

Abstract (english)

Japan is a country that currently has one of the most developed economies in the world and great
success in that area. Something that has made Japan famous in the past was its army, and their
principles. This military aspect of Japan actually laid the foundations for the development of
Japanese society as well as their hegemony. The important thing that follows Japan till this day
are the events in World War II that made the impact on that country, not only because of their
insane courage but also because of the defeat in the hardest possible way, the dropping of atomic
bombs by USA. What this paper seeks to show is how Japan as a state developed, from a strictly
military power to a serious economic power in the world. Something that is more important is
how civil-military relations influenced the actions of the Japanese state in World War II. , and
also after that war. The most important thesis of this paper is whether Japan is returning to the
old path of militarism with new reforms and what role the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe,
has in that.
