Abstract

U završnom radu provodi se analiza obrazaca terorističkih djelovanja na području Bliskog istoka i sub-saharske Afrike. Govorit će se o općem pojmu džihada, analizirat će se osobine i trendovi razvoja terorističkih djelovanja u obje regije, međusobna povezanost terorističkih organizacija, te dati procjena daljeg razvoja terorističkih aktivnosti. U centru analiza su dvije studije slučaja: ISIS u slučaju Sirije, te Al-Shabaab u slučaju Somalije. Opisat će se šira slika svake grupe, od njihova uspona, ideologije, ciljeva i motiva, obrazaca djelovanja do određenih neuspjeha. Na kraju, opisane grupe će se usporediti te će se predstaviti njihova međusobna povezanost i pokušati dati slika budućeg djelovanja tih dviju grupa.

Abstract (english)

In the final work, an analysis of the forms of terrorist activity in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa is carried out. The general concept of jihad will be discussed, the features and trends of terrorist activity development in both regions will be analyzed, the interrelationships of terrorist organizations and the assessment of further development of terrorist activities. In the center of the analysis, two case studies were conducted: ISIS in Syria, and Al-Shabaab in Somalia. A wider picture of each group will be described, from their ascension, ideology, goals and motives, patterns of action to certain failures. Finally, the described groups will be compared and will present their interrelationships and try to give a picture of the future action of these two groups.
