Abstract

U radu je vojna organizacija definirana kao struktura koja oružanom silom ostvaruje sigurnost na svom državnom teritoriju protiv vanjske ugroze te ispunjava suvremene zadaće održavanja mira u inozemnim operacijama u međunarodnom okruženju. Primjer francuskih oružanih snaga sistematično prikazuje tijek transformacije vojne organizacije iz koncepta masovne vojske u kompaktnu postmodernu vojnu organizaciju koja može fleksibilno odgovoriti na široki spektar prijetnji. Masovna vojna organizacija... More prvi puta je razvijena u Francuskoj na temelju formiranja nacionalnog identiteta i borbe za opstanak Francuske revolucije. Ona pretpostavlja sudjelovanje cjelokupnog društva u ratu. Muškarci od 18 do 25 godina nose oružje, a stariji i žene proizvode sve potrebno za uspješno vođenje totalnog rata. Promjenom sigurnosnih prijetnji, razvojem tehnologije te pojavom složenih ugroza, koncept masovne vojske zastarijeva te nastaje profesionalna vojna organizacija koja i s manjim brojem pripadnika ostvaruje bolje rezultate. Abstract (english)

This paper defines a military organization as a structure that provides security in its national territory against foreign threats and fulfills the contemporary tasks of maintaining peace in foreign operations in an international environment. Examples of the French armed forces systematically depict the course of transformation of military organizations from the mass army concept into a compact postmodern military organization that can flexibly respond to a wide range of threats. It includes the participation of the whole society in the war. Men between the ages of 18 and 25 carry weapons, the elderly, and women work in production to ensure everything they need to successfully wage a total war. With changes in security threats and the development of technology, the concept of a mass army becomes obsolete and so the professional military organization emerges and can achieve better results even with fewer workforce.
