Abstract

Diplomski rad „Prijedlog povećanja oklopne zaštite na korpusu M-84“ bazira se na analizi
oklopnog tijela tenka M-84 kroz izrađeni računalni 3D model. Pomoću 3D modela pobliže je
analizirano oklopno tijelo tenka M-84, njegova konstrukcija, slabe točke i mogućnost dodavanja
oklopne zaštite u svrhu boljeg preživljavanja na bojištu u skladu s realnim i trenutnim
prijetnjama. Računalni 3D model oklopnog tijela u stvarnome mjerilu precizno je izrađen u
računalnom programu SolidWorks. U zadnjem poglavlju predstavljeno je nekoliko rješenja za
rješavanje problema ranjivosti i slabosti oklopne zaštite tenkova i oklopnih vozila na moderne
trenutne prijetnje, s naglaskom na tenk M-84A4. Prijedlozi rješenja sagledani su kroz čimbenike
tenkovskog trokuta.

Abstract (english)

This masters thesis is based on the analysis of the armoured hull as employed on the M-84 main
battle tank by means of a computer-generated 3D model. Using a 3D model allows to take a
closer look at the its construction, as well as consideration the enchantment of the armour
protection level to improve the tanks overall survivability in contrast to ever-evolving anti-tank
threats. 3D model of the hull was made in SolidWorks software in great detail all while taking
into account the scale from its real-life counterpart. The last chapter in this thesis examines
numerous solutions to curtail the tank`s and other armoured fighting vehicles relatively high
vulnerability regarding the threat posed by modern anti-tank weapons, with emphasis put on the
M-84A4. All of these are considering the three most important factors determing the tanks
combat effectiveness: firepower, protection and mobility.
