Abstract

Ovaj rad istražuje tehnologiju terminala s malim otvorom antene (VSAT) i njezinu primjenu u vojne svrhe. Rad prolazi kroz povijest VSAT tehnologije, arhitekturu i komponente VSAT terminala, vrste terminala te frekvencijske pojaseve i parametre kvalitete veze. Nadalje, analiziraju se različite mrežne konfiguracije, uključujući mrežastu, zvjezdastu, spajanje od točke do točke te hibridnu konfiguraciju. Abstract (english)

This paper explores Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) technology and its application in military purposes. The paper covers the history of VSAT technology, the architecture and components of VSAT terminals, types of terminals, as well as frequency bands and link quality parameters. Furthermore, different network configurations are analyzed, including mesh, star, point-to-point, and hybrid configurations. Special attention is given to the applications of VSAT technology for military... More purposes, such as communication in crisis situations, small portable systems, the L3Harris Hawkeye III Lite system, and the use of Linkway systems for military purposes. The paper addresses multiple access methods, such as PAMA and DAMA, with an emphasis on their advantages and disadvantages.
